Refunds And Cancellation
Refunds will be issued for cancellations made at least 3 days before the start of the program. Refunds will be issued as a credit card reversals.
Cancellations made less than 3 days before the start of the program will not be eligible for a refund.
The following exceptions may apply to the refund policy:
- If the program is cancelled by the provider, participants will receive a full refund.
- If the participant is unable to attend the program due to a medical emergency, participants may be eligible for a refund.

Record Retention Policy
COMBINE retains records in a complete and accurate manner for five years following creation of records, including:
- A roster identifying all program participants;
- A list of all live event program presenters, including the qualifications of each presenter, and an accurate description of the content presented by that presenter;
- A list of all authors and presenters of home study programs, and an accurate description of the content presented by each author and presenter;
- The program content description;
- The attendee/participant evaluations;
- The program promotional and marketing materials; and,
- The program agenda and materials distributed to participants, including the learning objectives.
Program Information Publication Policy
For each CEU product, COMBINE will publish :
Program registration requirements;
Program content description and learning objectives;
The name and qualifications of each program presenter or author;
The number of NBCC hours offered for completion of the program; and,
The Provider contact information, including mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address,
and Web site address.
Confidentiality and Security of Participant Information
COMBINE protects participant information received during registration, such as name, address, social security number, telephone number, email address, and financial information.
For COMBINE home study programs that include a recorded webinar or in-person training, COMBINE ensures that participants are not identifiable through name, image, or any other means or COMBINE has a proper consent from the participants allowing COMBINE to use their image, name, etc. in the home study program.
Program Content
All COMBINE programs offering NBCC continuing education credits satisfy the following content requirements:
- The program content and information directly relates to a qualifying NBCC Content Area.
- The program content and information includes a clear statement of the program learning objectives.
- The program content and information is directly relevant to the professional knowledge and skills of graduate-level counselors.
- The content of programs presenting information concerning the diagnosis, evaluation, and/or treatment of clients is clinically sound.
- The program materials are directly relevant to the program content, and reflect current information, research, and professional knowledge.
- The program content and information is consistent with the NBCC Code of Ethics and the NBCC Policy Regarding the Provision of Distance Professional Services.
- The program content and information si presented and/or authored by a presenter/author with the appropriate qualifications. All program presenters and authors are specifically and accurately identified in program materials, including all educational degrees and other qualifications.
Review and Resolution of Program Complaints and Disputes
The purpose of this policy is to provide a fair and efficient process for students to file complaints about the online learning system. This policy is intended to ensure that all complaints are heard and responded to in a timely manner.
Who Can File a Complaint?
Any student enrolled in the online learning system may file a complaint. Complaints may be filed by students who are currently enrolled in the system, students who have previously been enrolled in the system, or students who are considering enrolling in the system.
What Can Be Complained About?
Complaints may be filed about any aspect of the online learning system, including but not limited to:
Academic policies and procedures
Faculty
Technology
Student services
Financial aid
Disability services
Discrimination or harassment
How to File a Complaint
Complaints must be filed in writing. Complaints may be submitted by email, mail, or in person. The following information must be included in all complaints:
The student’s name
The student’s contact information
The nature of the complaint
Any supporting documentation
Complaint Procedure
Once a complaint is received, it will be assigned to a staff member who will investigate the matter. The staff member will contact the student and any other relevant parties to gather information. The staff member will then prepare a report and make a recommendation to the Director of Online Learning.
The Director of Online Learning will review the report and make a decision about how to address the complaint. The student will be notified of the decision in writing.
Timeliness
Complaints will be investigated and resolved as quickly as possible. The Director of Online Learning will make every effort to resolve complaints within 30 days of receipt.
Appeals
Students who are not satisfied with the outcome of their complaint may appeal the decision to the Vice President of Academic Affairs. Appeals must be filed in writing within 10 days of the date of the decision.
Confidentiality
All complaints will be handled confidentially. The identity of the student who filed the complaint will not be disclosed without the student’s permission.

All programs are presented in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and similar state, federal, and local laws.

Nondiscrimination Policy
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all students and learners are treated fairly and equally, regardless of their race, color, religion, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), national origin, age (40 or older), disability, or genetic information.
The online learning platform will not discriminate in any aspect of its services, including but not limited to:
Admissions
Enrollment
Course selection
Grades
Financial aid
Disability accommodations
Socially-sponsored events
Complaints
Any student or learner who believes they have been discriminated against may file a complaint. Complaints must be filed in writing.
COMBINE will investigate all complaints promptly and thoroughly. If a complaint is found to be valid, the online learning platform will take appropriate action to remedy the situation.
It is unlawful for COMBINE to retaliate against any student or learner who files a complaint of discrimination or who cooperates in an investigation of a discrimination complaint.
All complaints of discrimination will be handled confidentially to the extent possible. The online learning platform will only disclose information about a complaint to those who need to know in order to investigate and resolve the complaint.
